Obama inspires, and suits the Kennedy’s fancy…
January 28, 2008 2:00 pm PoliticsSenator Ted Kennedy wanted to be “inspired” and says that Sen. Barack Obama provides that inspiration to everyone. In addition to support from Ted Kennedy, Obama garners support from Ted’s niece Caroline Kennedy, and Pat Kennedy, Ted’s son, and member of the U.S. House of representatives.
Sen. Kennedy delivered a lengthy endorsement speech in Washington at American University.
“I love this country…I’ve seen it, I’ve lived it, and with Barack Obama we can do it again!” Sen. Kennedy proclaimed during his speech.
Obama spoke after Sen. Kennedy and thanked all three Kennedy’s for their great support.
The endorsement from Ted Kennedy is one of the two large democratic endorsements left, the other being Al Gore, who has yet to endorse a candidate, although it is expected he will endorse Hilary Clinton since he served as Vice President under Bill Clinton. However let it be remembered that Al Gore Endorsed Howard Dean in 2003 saying he was the only candidate who made the right decision on the Iraq war. We all know how things turned out for Dean in the end. “Beyahhh!”
