Barack Obama - Making history, inspiring Oprah (and the Kennedy’s), and now, setting records!

7:31 pm Politics

First, Barack Obama makes history by becoming the first Black American to pose a serious challenge for a presidential nomination.

Second, Barack Obama inspires millions of people, including Oprah Winfrey and then none other than Teddy Kennedy! (He hasn’t quite inspired me yet, but I’m much more level headed than Mr. Kennedy.)

Third, (and I won’t say finally because Mr. Obama probably has 5 or 6 more tricks up his sleeve), Barack Obama has set the record for most money raised in ONE month, by a candidate who still had a legitimate challenger!

Barack Obama raised $32 million in January alone, this is especially interesting given his early January loss in New Hampshire. This incredible amount of money allows the Obama campaign to use television ads in 20 our of 22 February 5th, Super Tuesday states. Obama has elected not to put ads in his home state of Illinois, and Oklahoma.

Why will nominating Barack Obama be better for the country AND better for the history of our country?

Simple. Hilary Clinton is part of the “Clinton Machine” poised to create a political dynasty. The use of her former president husband, might seem innocent but is a dirty move. Are we re-electing Bill? Or are we electing Hilary Rodham? Her campaign tactics make her look as though she does not have the best interest of the country at heart, but rather she is in it to make history, both as the first woman, and the creation of a political dynasty. These tactics render her campaign a phony.

Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle, has supported him, but it is clear we are electing Barack not Michelle.

Although I will be voting republican, on the democratic side, we are reduced to two options, both of which will make history, but in different ways. If you vote to make history, make history with the genuine candidate, Barack Obama.

[…] Both Barack Obama, and Hilary Clinton have clearly stated that, if elected president, they will do whatever they can to remove all U.S. presence in Iraq (ending our involvement in the war on terror). Obama likes to boast about the fact that he has not wavered or “flip flopped” on the Iraq war on terror, while Clinton voted for the war at first and then changed her opinion as others in congress did. However, for the purpose of this discussion, both democratic candidates oppose the war in the same fashion as they both say now that they will surrender and leave the middle east, if elected president.
