Obama would be my choice, but I hope Hilary wins.

10:00 am Politics

“Oh my gosh. What? You WANT Hilary Clinton to win?!?!?” This was the response from my peers when I mentioned this earlier today. My reply was,

“The Primary, Yes. General Election? Hell no.”

Since Huckabee is my main man I will take this opportunity to explain to you the rationale behind my statement.

I am voting republican in the primary because as an independent I don’t want any part in the dog fight going on with the democrats as of now. Having said that, if I was voting democrat, I would vote for Obama hands down as you can see here. However, since I’m voting republican, I am rooting for Hilary to win the nomination.

With Mitt Romney out of the race, Mike Huckabee now has a legitimate chance, especially since he won two more states (Kansas by an overwhelming amount) this past Saturday. Many Huck-states could still be left. These (in my opinion) include Virginia (Feb 12, if he’s lucky), Texas (March 4), Mississippi (March 11), and Indiana and North Carolina are toss-ups for Huckabee (both May 6). Finally, if he’s still in the race by this time and it hasn’t been won yet, I think he will contend in Kentucky, Oregon (May 20), Idaho (May 27), and Montana (June 3).

Now, since I know nothing about delegate counts or how they are awarded state-by-state (primarily since every news agency has a different number awarded to each candidate), I do not know if it is mathematically possible for Huckabee to win but I imagine he would’ve dropped out by now if it weren’t.

In my ideal world, Mike Huckabee, and Hilary Clinton would win the nomination. In the general election they’d fight over Arkansas, Huckabee would win because he’s religious, she isn’t. He would win all of the republican small states, and the southern states he carried in the primary. The difference maker would be the enormous group of people (liberal and conservative alike) who are simply rooting for anyone BUT Hilary Clinton. They’ll vote for whoever the other candidate is. That theory would work if McCain and Hilary won their respective nominations too, but, McCain can probably beat both Obama and Hilary on his own merits. Huckabee might stuggle running against Obama, and I want Huckbee to win. If it were Obama vs. Huckabee, Huck would struggle with independents, and especially his southern states. The southern states are religious, but also African American! It would be a very interesting race that way. At any rate, this is why I’m rooting for Hiilary in the PRIMARY, only so that she can get beat in the general. O:-) Evil?…Nah.

I just hope it doesn’t make her cry again…

Hilary Cries

“Since I know nothing of delegate counts”

That’s as far as I read, you know nothing of how the political system works and you want to keep our country under the control of men who use the power of religion to Kill, Steal, Lie, and Abuse the American people’s right……

    Good Job.

Well Wada, perhaps you could educate me on how the delegates are awarded per state.
Since each state controls their own elections you will have 50 different explanations for me.

I look forward to learning this from you since the mainstream media cannot agree on the same delegate counts, maybe you could educate them too!
